I am a philosopher, poet, and narrator. I received my PhD in Philosophy of Religion from Goethe-Universität in Frankfurt and an MA in Religious Studies from Lancaster University, in the UK. I have a degree in Philosophy and am a graduate of Literary Studies from the Universidad Javeriana in Bogotá. From a very young age I have devoted my life to spiritual research, nourished by various sources: Christianity, which I have attempted to rediscover time and time again; yoga and meditation; traditional indigenous medicine, under the direction of Taita Luis Portilla, with whom I studied for 25 years, until his death in 2022. A life based on this diversity has made dialogue the central issue of my thinking and writing: inter-religious, intercultural dialogue between philosophy and spirituality, thought and poetry.

I have published the collections of poems: De la Luz inquieta (Colección Oamti, 2010) and Oyente del Silencio (Los Conjurados, 2019). In 2020 I published the collection of narratives Palabra de remedio y otras historias de yagé (Común presencia, 2020).

Besides papers in academic journals, my philosophical publications include the books: Racionalidad y trascendencia. Investigaciones en epistemología de la religión (Maliaño, Bogotá: Sal Terrae, Universidad del Rosario, 2020); Interculturality, Rationality and Dialogue: In Search for Intercultural Argumentative Criteria for Latin America (Würzburg: Echter Verlag, 2012); Diálogo Interreligioso.

I am currently Associate Professor at the Universidad del Rosario’s School of Human Sciences in Bogotá.
